Coin puzzle

I thrifted this tin can at a flea market. It's a teaching aid to help kids learn to calculate money, more specific coins. Before the Euro the Dutch currency was the Dutch Guilder. The coins were 1 cent, 5 cents (stuiver), 10 cents (dubbeltje), 25 cents (kwartje), 1 guilder, and the rijksdaalder which was 2,5 guilders.
Now that my kids receive pocket money and learn to calculate I realise how difficult it is for them.

Vintage sewing material

I just love vintage sewing material, too bad it's rather expensive at flea markets... The needle book, for instance was 8 euros. In perfect condition though. The vendor had lots more fantastic ones, I might go back to purchase one or two to start a small collection.

The labels are always a pleasure to look at, the typography and the illustrations are great!

Vintage tin cans from the UK

About a month ago I posted about the giveaway I won over at Things to make and do and what Jane Housham had sent me which accompanied my price.
It's time I showed you some of the beautiful tin cans from up close. I just love the instant collection she gave me!

I absolutely adore these!

Vintage photographic material

Seem like such a long time ago that we used films, photographic paper and light bulbs like these. I used to hate working in the dark room. I was never any good at it. I didn't have the patience for it. I prefer Instagram!
