Elle Kim

Elle Jeong Eun Kim calls herself a graphic designer but she's definately much more than that. She is from Seoul, Korea, but lives and works in New York City. Take a close look at her diverse work and discover she's not only a great graphic designer, but also an artist who makes the most beautiful installations with crochet thread, liquid rubber, rope, thread and of course, paper.

Collecting stickers

Marc Boutavant
Benjamin Chaud
Frédéric Pillot
Tom Schamp

Djeco is one of my favourite brands for kids' games, toys, puzzles, cards, stickers etc. We have several items by Djeco lying around in our living room and in the children's bedrooms. My latest purchase are these stickers.
Djeco is a French company always commissions great illustrators for their designs. Their fun website is FWA awarded, unfortunately it's a bit slow on my computer.

Mats Ottdal

Check out this Norwegian designer here and on his blog.

The world and me

Fully illustrated vintage encyclopedia for children. Maybe this looks familiar to some of you? I bought this one at a thrift shop an it is really lovely!

Sunday sessions

Lewis, 5 years old
Bruno, almost 7 years old
Mila, 7 years old
Danni, 10 years old

This afternoon my kids were painting with their friends. It's always quick and dirty with them, but this time they were a bit more dedicated.

Paperdesk

In search of an uncoated graphic paper I stumbled upon the new Paperdesk portal. Not only is this homepage a huge improvement but it also illustrates the love of paper and typography. As a designer I was pleasantly surprised and will go back to the site more often.

Life

I love old magazines. This issue of Life is from April 19th 1965. It's a special edition about the bible (as you can see).

David Vogin

I came across American illustrator David Vogin through Pablo Lara's blog at Posterous. Vogin's work drew my attention because of his collage technique, which I always love. He mixes vintage images and (new) computer techniques. With it, he knows how to create just the right atmosphere. Thanks, Pablo, for sharing your interesting blogs with me!
