Dutch artist Michel Wieggers works with various materials and techniques. He works on patterns, textures, repetitions and stratification. To create dense surfaces he combines several drawing techniques such as charcoal lines placed into grids and watercolor strokes. The drawings appear to have a close affiliation with woven fabrics.
He also works with corduroy which he paints and cuts into thin strips. By painting front and backside differently the sliced corduroy allows for alternate views.
