Friday Fruitday
I call this day Fruitday. I'll be posting some fruit-related items. As you may (or may not) know I collect a lot of stuff. Fruitlabels and wrappings are amongst those collections. But another weird part of the fruitcollection is: pieces of the wooden boxes in which oranges and tangerines are transported in. Of course the part of the box with the logo.

Nightlight
Beautiful photography book called 'Nachtlicht'. The book was given to me by a paper consultant. The book is beautifully printed on a metallic paper.
Marc Johns
I came across Marc Johns work at Yayeveryday
'Marc Johns creates whimsical drawings filled with dry wit and humour. Whether it’s a man with branches growing out of his head that need pruning, or a pipe that’s trying to quit smoking, his characters are simply, sparsely drawn, yet speak volumes with just a few strokes of the pen.'

The game of Tangram
I love this old Chinese game. I have several different boxes and I even play it on my iPhone.
The tangram literally means 'seven boards of skill', it is a dissection puzzle consisting of seven flat shapes, called tans, which are put together to form shapes. The objective of the puzzle is to form a specific shape (given only an outline or silhouette) using all seven pieces, which may not overlap.
Deedee Cheriel
'Her work explores narratives that recognize the urgency and conflict in our continuing attempts to connect to the world. With influences derived from such opposites as East Indian temple imagery, punk rock, and her Pacific Northwest natural environment, her images are indications of how we try to connect ourselves to others and how these satirical and heroic efforts are episodes of compassion and discomfort. Bold elements drawn from landscapes - both urban and natural - and pop culture suggest the ability to find commonalities and relationships between ourselves and our surroundings that inevitably confirm our greater humanity and quest for love.'

Jan Tschichold
Beautiful book about German typographer and book designer Jan Tschichold. I rescued it from the garbage at work.
