Jip and Janneke jig saw puzzle

I just love Fiep Westendorp's work. Her Jip and Janneke drawings definately stand out, considering she drew these characters in the fifties. 

I bought this wooden jig saw puzzle at a flea market. Too bad one of the pieces is torn off a bit. 

Vintage stuff and Buzz Lightyear

This morning we headed down to the local flea market. This market is once every two moths in our home town and... I'm afraid to admit it... It was my first visit...

This visit made up for lost time 'cause we thrifted a lot of great stuff! I'll show some more items in another post.

This vintage stuffed animal needed a new home. It might be Steiff Fox Terrier, but this one is so torn and damaged that I cannot be sure.

The market was in the town's sport facilities, even the climbing wall is not save for the sellers.

Reading material

I found this one on a flea market. It's definately vintage, although I couldn't say what year it's from.

I guess the seventies. We call it a 'leesplankje', I've posted another one here.

Flipje and a rabbit

I bought this small, rather damaged, figurine at a fleamarket. He holds a prominent place in my printers' tray because he brings back a lot of memories. In an earlier post I've already shown the books I used to read about this little raspberry guy.

Furthermore I bought this plastic rabbit, this collection is rapidly growing...

Vintage table football

We bought this football game at the flea market on Queen's day in Utrecht. We only paid 5 euro for it! It's rather old, at least 50 years. Unfortunately, it's in very poor condition. The previous owners used a black marker to draw the lines and to number the players. But it still works perfectly and my son loves to play with it!

Wooden pinball game

Vintage it is! But it's still in one piece and gives us hours of fun here at home.

Jig saw puzzles

 Vintage puzzles always seems to have better illustrations than modern ones... Found thrifting.
