Precious Waste is a new strong material from poor quality plastic bags. Michelle has succeeded in processing her used plastic bags wihout heating or added chemicals. She has turned them into durable but fine threads with which she has weaved a new fabric. The woven product is much stronger than the original, which will considerably increase the lifespan of this material that takes so long to decompose.

Wilco Spruijt graduated from the design department 'Man and leisure'
Table Tones is a table and a musical instrument in one. It offers an accessible way to make music and to communicate together at the table. By turning the boxes upside down you change the table surface from a flat colourful tabletop to a landscape of wood. From table to musical instrument. The basis for this table is a musical instrument called the tonguedrum, which is in essence one of the first instruments man used for communicating with one another.

Béatrice Coron - Identity project

French paperartist Béatrice Coron lives and works on her papercuts in New York City. Her Identity Project is from 2009.
The project consists of different oversized pages hanged from the ceiling, each one presenting a different construction of self, through biology and culture, achieved through one's own efforts. The pages hanged from the ceiling can form a path where viewers can look through papercuttings to discover other layers and possibly other viewers.

Nel Linssen

Nel Linssen is a Dutch jewelry designer and paper artist. Her amazing designs are beautiful pieces of art.

'My work arises intuitively and in an empirical way. I am continually trying to discover logical constructions, inspired by rhytms and structures in the botanical world.
In the development of my ideas the use of paper as a means of expressing myself was an obvious choice. As a material, it possesses a lot of qulities that come in useful to me. Moreover, the tactile qualities of paper are important in connection with wearable objects.
The cause for a new type of research is often quite coincindental. Struck by a certain form of material, I start a quest in which an interaction arises of thought and action in order to attain a useful concept. Finding the appropriate technical solutions is an important challenge in connection with this.'
