Crowdsourcing

All the vintage items on this blog are part of my own collection, but having so much 'junk' in our crowded house I feel it's time for some spring cleaning. So I intend to open a WEBSHOP!

That's where you all come in... Who can give me some advise? Should I open an Etsy-shop? What works, what doesn't? Et cetera! Please help me make this possible. E-mail me at ellenturningpages@gmail.com or leave a comment.

I will be very grateful with some words of advise!

  1. I think etsy is a good idea for someone looking for a ready-made international client network - you have great taste, take good photos and I'm sure have a stash of wonderful products. I have gone for Bigcartel, because K&C is very well known now so I can drive my traffic to my shop, hopefully. Both have their pros and cons...
Look forward to seeing your shop, which ever you choose!

  3. Oh yes! I'd love to see you open a shop on Etsy!! You have such interesting vintage finds. I'm a little biased towards Etsy and I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have based on my experience there. Just email/convo me any time. ps: Sorry for this very late response to your question :(

  5. Hi Ellen, Pablo Lara H here. You must check something else to sell your things, like http://www.redbubble.com/ or Vendorr or http://www.cargoh.com/ or http://vendder.com/ , etc What I mean? Always check more options. I hopr my advise will be helpful.

  8. Go for it! I think you will do great on Etsy - you have a great eye for things and do a good job with the photography too! Etsy is easy to use and people that are selling vintage seem to do quite well. I've been thinking of doing the same thing - I have several bins full of items I plan to sell - I am just having trouble finding the time to photograph and list things as I have a full time job.

Some great things about Etsy is that by using PayPal you can take credit cards, your item stays listed for 3 months, and you can list as many or as few items as you like.

Looking forward to seeing your shop!
    Julie

  9. Very nice idea indeed, it's an exciting little shop you have here, full of surprises. I'll be back to take a look once in a while. And the photostuff might be interesting to a few of my friends, I'll send them along. Go for it...cheers;-)
